Foreign Players

After an absence of nine years, the Annual general Meeting of the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta agreed to allow foreign waterpolo players to play in the Maltese Championships once again. Thus from next season each Maltese club will be allowed to sign one such player to bolster the Senior team. This will be the seventh time that Exiles will be fielding a foreign player. The previous foreign players to represent Exiles were :

1983 : Jeremy Birmingham (England)
1984 : Wilco Mondeel (Netherlands)
1993 : Sergei Lyssitsyn (Russia)
1994 : Marco Booij (Netherlands)
1995 : Jan de Vries (Netherlands)
1996 : Revaz Tchomakidze (Georgia)

The Committee has already started making initial contacts with a number of potential foreign players.
