EXILES SC : SENIOR PLAYER OF THE YEAR

The Committee has chosen TIMMY SULLIVAN as the first team player of the year for the season 2005. Timmy, who is currently studying in Hungary and also training and playing with a second division team there, is a product of the Exiles youth system and has come through the ranks with fellow first team players James Cuschieri, David Pace Lupi and Keith Camilleri.
Born in 1984 Timmy started training with Exiles at the age of twelve under the guidance of Frans Pace Lupi. He was then coached by Brian Camilleri in an Under 15 an Under 17 team that were very competitive even challenging the likes of Sliema and Neptunes. Timmy, and his team-mate David Pace Lupi, also represented Malta at youth team level in Aix-les-Baines, France under the guidance of Anthony Farrugia Under coach Dirk Dowling Timmy made steady progress in the first team at an early age and was an important team member of the teams that won the second division double in 2002 as well as the knock-out competitions in 2003 and 2004 then under the guidance of Marco Manara. Timmy, whose father Peter is a committee member, has developed into one of the most exciting players in the second division.
