Exiles 3 Valletta United 10
(0-5) (1-3) (2-0) (0-2)
A slow start for Exiles proved fatal as Valletta cruised to an unassailable 8-1 lead at the half-way stage of the match played earlier this morning at the National Pool. There was a reaction by Exiles in the third quarter when they reduced the gap to five goals with some form of balance being restored between both contenders with the score reading 3-8 until the dying minutes of the game when the Citizens capitalized on their younger and inexperienced opponents to find the net twice, after Exiles’ Coach Dorian Pisani inserted most of the players at his disposal.
A more detailed report to follow shortly.
