Welcome

Welcome to the website of Exiles Sports Club which is based in Sliema, Malta in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. It is indeed a site for the time being as since the Committee has commissioned to have its website set up, it was decided to build it gradually. For those who might be interested in the Club’s history, a series of articles are being prepared in chronological order; some of these may already be viewed straight away.

The aim of this website is to portray the Club’s image both in the local as well as in the international sphere of waterpolo, a sport which has been at heart of the Club for nearly four decades since its establishment in 1967.

On the crest of the Club one finds a tower to symbolizing the watch tower built by Grand Master Fra Martini De Redin in the middle of the seventeenth century as part of a line of defence of watch towers built during those times to protect the Island’s inhabitants from invaders. This tower also known as St Julian’s Tower, still overlooks the premises of the Club which are situated below by the water edge.

There are other pages you may click on for more information on the Club.
