Two players from the Exiles team have been chosen with the 13 man Malta Waterpolo squad to participate in the pre-tournament in Istanbul, Turkey starting Friday 30th April.

MALTA Waterpolo Team

The Malta team will participate in the pre-tournament, in Istanbul,  Turkey, qualification to the Zagreb main championships:
 
 Malta has been drawn in GROUP A: MALTA, SPAIN, TURKEY the host Nation, and Slovakia

The matches :
Friday, April 30: 6 p.m. Malta vs Spain; 8 p.m. Turkey vs Slovakia.
Saturday, May 1: 5.30 p.m. Turkey vs Malta; 7 p.m. Spain vs Slovakia.
Sunday, May 2: 10 a.m. Slovakia vs Malta; noon Turkey vs Spain

Alan Borg Cole and Timmy Sullivan, two home grown Exiles players are part of the 13 man squad lead by Sergio Afric.

Six teams will qualify; two teams from each Group, to participate in the Championship proper in Zagreb, Croatia, in autumn.  they will join the strong waterpolo nations of:
CROATIA, MONTENEGRO, HUNGARY, ITALY, GERMANY and SERBIA
