Breaking News – Cousin signs for Exiles

Aurelien  Cousin returns back to Exiles as a player after a four-year stint at San Giljan the last three of which he formed part of the ‘Saints” first team which this year made a clean sweep of what the local waterpolo scene had to offer.

Aurel started his playing career with Exiles in 2007. For the Club Committee, Cousin was an automatic choice when it came to picking up the Exiles foreigner even when the number was increased to two. Aurel helped Exiles win two second division doubles in 2008 (with Romain Blary) and 2009 (with Revaz Tchomakidze) and formed part of the squads when in 2010, Exiles placed joint third place in the Premier Division (pairing with Florian Bonca) and in 2011 as beaten finalists in the Knock-out Competition with Marco Cuk. Both editions were under the helm of Joe Caruana Dingli.

His playing career was followed in 2012 by his taking over as Head Coach of the Exiles’ first team which he steered for two years before relinquishing his post at the end of the 2013 season.

Welcome back Aurel
