San Giljan hoping to beat Exiles to join Neptunes at the top

San Giljan Sir Alex face Exiles Ferretti in their 3rd Bank of Valletta Premier League match in the knowledge that victory will put them equal on points with leaders Neptunes before the two neighbours go head to head the following Wednesday.

Exiles, on the other hand, are coming from two respectable  five goal defeats against Neptunes and Sliema and coach Aurelien Cousin will be looking for another positive performance before the last encounter of the first round against Sirens.

Against Sliema, Exiles put up a good fight and could have got a better result had they avoided a few basic mistakes at crucial parts of the game. In Romain Blary and Vojislav Cupic, Exiles have found two foreign players who give balance to the team as well as scoring potential. In fact the two foreigners scored seven of the nine goals Exiles put past Sliema last weekend.

Simon Vassallo (neck) is still out injured, so his place in the thirteen will go to Nicky Paris or Mark Magri.
