After having helped the Exiles’ Ladies team lift the Super Cup last month, Elena Borg added another honour to her successful personal career in the sporting sphere when she made it to the final squad of the Italian University Selection participating in the 30th edition of the Summer University Games currently being held in Naples Italy between the 3rd and 14th July.

Elena is currently pursuing her studies in Italy and was selected in a process lasting several months after showing her interest during her varsity years and actually participating competitively in the sport she excels in.

Wearing the number 7 cap, Elena made her debut on the 4th July in Italy’s win (8-6) against the USA. Before tonight’s clash with Russia at 19.30 hours, Italy have three straight wins having also disposed of China (11-10) and Australia (9-7).

The President and Committee whilst congratulating Elena on her achievement, would like to wish her luck in this unique experience earned through her hard work and dedication.

Well done indeed Elena – you make Exiles proud indeed.
