Exiles AQUA ACADEMY

It is with great pleasure to announce that we have reached a long-term agreement with Aqua Academy to form a strategic partnership which would enable our nursery to grow and build our club further.

Although Aqua Academy will be run autonomously from the club, Exiles will still have a direct input towards the general direction and ultimate goals of the Academy. It is hoped that this formula will be instrumental in increasing the quantity and quality of athletes in both sporting disciplines, swimming and waterpolo, and be run self-sufficiently.

Aqua Academy will be managed in a professional manner and will offer a holistic swimming and waterpolo program. This will be achieved by hiring the best available coaches for the jobs. For the season 2015, Gordon Zammit will be handling the under-15 and under-17 teams and we are pleased to advise that Matthew Pisani (ex-Neptunes, San Giljan, Sirens player and National team) is engaged to handle the under-13 and under-11 teams.

Tim Hartley, Level 4 coach with the British ASA, who has vast experience in coaching children and taking them to the highest level of international swimming, will manage the Swimming branch of the Academy.

The coaching staff also includes Sian Pledger, a qualified Physical instructor, who will conduct weekly physical training for all the athletes.

Anyone who wish to send their children to Aqua Academy kindly contact Michelle Zammit on (Mob: 99237115); browse to http://aqua.academy or http://www.facebook.com/aqua.acad ; or contact anyone of the Club Committee Members.
