Partial scores: (4-2) (2-5) (3-6) (3-3)

Exiles and Neptunes met last Saturday 2nd March in an entertaining match which was decided in the last three minutes of the third session.

As the partial scores show Exiles kept the pace with a young and depleted opponents up to the half-way mark (6-7) before the Reds inched away to increase their lead to four goals at the end of the third session. In the final quarter, Neptunes broke away with two early quick goals to build a six-goal advantage before Exiles reacted to narrow the gap to four by the final horn.

Exiles Coach Igor Vukanovic also had formation problems but drafted more youngsters in the team which all told fared well against a fitter side.

Scorers for Exiles were Timmy Sullivan (5 goals), two goals a-piece Sean Xerri de Caro, Kurt Griscti and Aurelien Cousin whilst mark Fenech scored one goal.

Next match for Exiles is on Wednesday 6th March at 19.45 when they meet Sliema in a fixture that was cancelled on the 23rd February due to the inclement weather conditions prevailing at the National Swimming Pool.
