Exiles failed to impress in their opening match against a tougher Sliema side when they lost 6-13 last night. The boys’ performance was marred by erratic passing in the first two sessions with the score reading 1-4 at the half-way mark thanks also to slow thinking by our opponents and good saves made by our keeper Ian Bugeja. In the third session Sliema increased the lead to 5 goals (2-7) whilst the fourth session was a formality as the match was more open with both teams finding the net at leisure and ten goals being scored for a final scoreline of 6-13 in favour of the Blues.
A detailed report to follow shortly.
