Exiles lose fourth match with a poor show

Sliema 11 Exiles Elia Caterers 7

Partial scores (3-1) (3-3) (2-1) (3-1)

Exiles could not avoid another defeat when last Saturday 6th April, they met Sliema who had a similar track with three consecutive defeats, albeit after fielding depleted sides due to injuries in their first seven.

Igor Vukanovic’s Boys kept the pace with their opponents up the half-way mark limiting the gap to a two-goal deficit (4-6). In the third session the Blues increased it to four which they kept to the end.

Scorers for Exiles were Benji Lanzon (3 goals), Sean Xerri de Caro (2 goals) and one goal each Kurt Griscti and Aurelien Cousin.

Man-ups converted 2 on 7, Man down conceded 3 on 6.

The fifth and final match in this year’s Winter League series is next Saturday 13th April at 17.30 hours when Exiles take on Sirens.
