Exiles will be facing Sliema next Saturday the 6th June in a series of three tough matches which await the Greens in the space of seven days to meet last season’s other top teams Neptunes and San Giljan.
The Blues will tonight taste competitive waterpolo when they clash with reigning champions Neptunes to challenge for the traditional President’s Cup which is the curtain raiser to an exciting league campaign which starts next Friday when the other two teams forming this summer’s Premier League,Valletta take on Sirens.
As for Exiles, head coach Maurizio Mirarchi flew in a fortnight ago and the Italian mentor is shaping his new squad in an effort to give favourites Sliema a stiff opposition. In this year’s team, Exiles will be introducing new faces like Andrea Bianchi and David Abela, whilst the return of Sean Gravina, Marco Cuk and Romain Blary will definitely boost the team’s aspirations for this season. Both foreigners had previous taste of local Premier waterpolo and they should adapt to the coach’s systems.
Detailed reports on all the first team’s matches to be uploaded
