Saturday 11th June at 18.00 sees the the debut of the Exiles first team in this year’s Waterpolo Premier Division when they meet Neptunes. The latter have been narrowly defeated (5-6) by hot favourites San Giljan in the President’s Cup played on the 7th June.
The Boys led by Dorian Pisani meet a determined Reds’ side who will be parading their latest acquisition, Rumanian Cosmin Radu and will have back in the side Malta international Jordan Camilleri who forfeited the clash against San Giljan. The new young faces in their line-up reflect the defection and retirement of two of last year’s seasoned players.
On the other side of the coin, the outings against Marsascala and Sirens have undoubtedly given Coach Pisani the latest indications of form reached a few days before the team’s first performance. Exiles are clearly not the favourites but could give their neighbours a good run. It will also be the first competitive match for Milos Vukcevic who joined the first team for this season. The strong Serbian national, who is a left hander has represented his country and has had stints in Greece, Slovenia and Australia before accepting to sign fo the Club.
