Exiles had no difficulty in surmounting the feeble opposition of a weak Marsaxlokk side which fielded just eight players on the score sheet when both sides met in their second encounter in the Relegation Decider played last night at the National Pool Complex and which saw Dorian Pisani’s team win comfortably 14-5. The match had no story to relate except what the final score would look like, but after the first two sessions when the score read 10-0 in favour of Exiles, Dorian made several changes, including the releiving of Milos Vukicevic and the drafting of all the players on the bench except Andrea Bianchi and Sean Gravina – his last call with the team- who watched proceedings from the deck.
For the record, the partial scores were (6-0) (4-0) (1-2) (3-3). Exiles had just three players excluded and conceded one goal whilst they failed to score any of their four man-ups but converted a penalty awarded after Marsaxlokk’s keeper blocked a shot in goal after he was excluded.
The last score sheet presented by Exiles showing the following players included the debut of seventeen-year old Michael Paris who was given a few minutes. Ian Bugeja, Julian Naudi, Simon Vassallo, David Pace Lupi (5 goals), Daniel Borg Millo, Sean Gravina, Kurt Griscti (3 goals), Nicky Paris (4 goals), Andrea Bianchi, Luca Felice (1 goal), Milos Vukicevic (1 goal) and Kayne Lanzon.
