Exiles retain Premier status

Earlier tonight, Exiles thrashed Marsascala 17-9 to win their second and decisive match out of three  to retain their Premier status and the right to participate in the top waterpolo sphere next season. It was a boring encounter with our opponents just fielding enough players to make up their first seven.

This time Italian Coach Maurizio Mirarchi rested  both Marco Cuk and Romain Blary but made use of the rest of the eleven  players on the match card including Luca Felice (born 1999) and Jake Bajada (born 2000) besides Philip Paris and Steve Galea Pace who were confirmed in the line-up. After tonight’s match the waterpolo season for the Premier and First Division has come to an end and in a few weeks’ time, prepartion will commence for the next Winter League  competition.

In the meantime, the Club bids farewell to Coach Maurizio Mirarchi as well as Marco Cuk and Romain Blary.
