Round 2 of the Waterpolo Premier League comes to end tomorrow when in the final match Sliema meet current leaders San Giljan to the deteremine the final placings with the first top three teams challenging for the Championship whilst the bottom three will fight it out to avoid relegation play offs with the winners of the First Division Championship.
In their last match of this round, Exiles take on Sirens who are so far have proved to be the revelation of the season with a string of positive showings against the big guns of the local game. Tonight, the Northerners start as favourites whilst Exiles come from a falter mid-week when they were ousted in the Knock Out competition by Valletta United (8-9) after finally winning their first three points last Sunday when the same teams met in the ninth day of Premier League with the Boys clinching a 8-7 merited victory. At present Exiles are still at the bottom of the table, three points below the Citizens. A win against Sirens will give a much wanted boost and points for the next stage of the competition, besides reaching Valletta United at six points.
Coach Mirarchi has to calm down the nervousness seen in the water and on deck after the final horn in the Cup-tie this week.
