Exiles lose to Valletta in tight clash

Valletta United revenged their recent defeat at the hands of Exiles in the Enemed Cup, with a close win of one goal to earn their second consecutive win in this year’s edition of the Winter League when both sides met last Saturday 30th March.

As the partial scores indicate, Exiles failed to keep the momentum and lead (4-3) of the first two sessions to lose the third quarter by two goals for the Citizens to nose ahead and lead by a goal which they maintained until the end.

Scorers for Exiles were Aurelien Cousin (2 goals), Timmy Sullivan (2 goals) whilst Michele Stellini and Kurt Griscti put their names on the score sheet once.

Exiles Man up 2 on 8 Man down 3 on 6. Valletta awarded two penalties, one of which was missed.

Next match for Exiles is on Wednesday 3rd April 2019  at 20.00 when they meet San Giljan who after seeing off Sliema 12-7 in the same day are unbeaten after two rounds.
