In the official line-up sent to the organizing committee of the European Union Nations Cup for Junior Women being held in Odense Denmark, between the 1st and 3rd April, no less than five girls from the Exiles team have been called up to play for our country. Abby Bonello, Sasha Lecuyer, Karla Camilleri, Elena Borg and Michaela Zammit will form part of this very interesting project which the ASA is embarking on, that of promoting to our young ladies this game which is locally assimilated to men in view of the contact aspect of this discipline.

The tournament has attracted eight nations split into two groups with the Maltese girls pitted against Denmark, England and Wales.

Whilst wishing good luck to the whole team, one must congratulate the Exiles’ girls on their achievement.
