It was exactly two years ago on Tuesday the 12th July 2011 when Exiles wrote a red-letter day in its history after recording its first ever victory over Sliema at first team level, when they beat them 13-7 to overturn the first leg’s final score of 14-10 in favour of the Blues to win the BOV Knock -Out semi-final tie and book a berth in the final.

Scorers for Exiles were Marco Cuk (5 goals), Aurelien Cousin (3 goals),Timmy Sullivan (2 goals), John Paris, Kayne Lanzon and Martin Calleja one goal apiece.

The photo shows the squad that lined up for the final but  two players Andrew Zarb Cousin and Karl Rizzo Naudi who formed part of the historic group that ousted the Sliema side, had to forfeit the next big event due to injuries sustained.

On the 16th July, Exiles eventually lost 5-9 against Neptunes who deservedly came out winners of the Cup.
