Luca Felice formed part of the victorious Under 17 ASA team which participated in the European Union Nations Cup for Junior Men held in Austria between the 24th and 27th March 2016. The twelve participating nations were split into four groups of three teams each with the top two teams in each group, qualifying for the knock-out phase. The Malta lads started badly with a close defeat (7-8) at the hands of South Africa but never looked back with three straight and comfortable wins to book a place in the final where they had a sweet revenge on their South African counterparts to win 11-10 and lift the trophy.
Congratulations to the National Under 17 squad and to Luca who was a first seven choice in the inaugural match, took the water in all the subsequent encounters and found the opponents’ net on three occasions.
