First choice goalkeeper Matthew Castillo who had an excellent season with Exiles in the Premier Waterpolo League which came to an end a few weeks ago, will tomorrow (11th October) leave Malta to join crack side Partizan Belgrade where he will be enhancing his techniques under the supervision of the Goalkeepers’ Coach at the Serbian club. Matthew was an inspiration to his team mates and contributed to his Club’s commendable performances.
Many local youngsters have had similar experiences away from our shores during the long break which finishes with the resumption of competitive waterpolo as the Winter League commences. Undoubtedly Matthew will benefit from this valuable opportunity of which he will definitely reap in future. For any promising players the unique venture of being able to train with professional waterpolo players is a must should they wish to aspire higher in their sporting careers.

Meanwhile, Exiles have confirmed Matthew as their goalkeeper for the next season.
