Neptunes 8 Exiles 3

The match proved to be exciting one with Exiles rearguard defending its fort comfortably as Neptunes based their game on swift counter attacks which were somewhat contained. Erratic shooting was evident in both sets of teams but the young Neptunes side were clinical in the few man-ups to widen the gap over their opponents.  After a balanced first two quarters which ended 3-1 for Neptunes, the third proved fatal for Exiles as the Reds increased their lead to four goals. In the final sesion David Pace Lupi missed a penalty but the score was narrowed by Exiles before conceding two soft goals and missing sitters up in front.

Both teams were awarded two penalties each but Exiles failed to convert one in the second minute of the last quarter with the score reading 6-2 for Neptunes. There was simultaneous expulsion and five man-ups for the Reds three of which were converted. Exiles had six occasions in numerical advantage but cashed in just one goal.

Exiles Head Coach Dorian Pisani had Simon Vassallo back in the team after recovering from an injury but Andrea Bianchi was missing from the line-up. The following players were utilized Ian Bugeja, Julian Rizzo Naudi, Simon Vassallo,David Pace Lupi, Daniel Borg Millo, Luca Felice, Sean Gravina , Kurt Griscti (1 goal), Nicky Paris, Gianni Ciappara, Luca Peric and Kayne Lanzon (2 goals).
