The semi-final tie played on the 7th July saw Exiles put another resilient performance against Premier League contenders Neptunes.
Exiles played at par with their better-quoted opponents who twice took a three-goal lead in the third quarter (5-2) and (7-4) before Exiles reacted strongly to level draw (7-7) half-way in the fourth and final session just before Neptunes were awarded a penalty twenty seconds on resumption of play to regain the lead (8-7). Two quick goals by the Reds 65 seconds to the final horn sealed the issue. A penalty scored by Nikic and a man-up converted by Exiles in the last second made the score more realistic.
Neptunes missed six of their eight man-ups whilst Exiles converted two of their five chances. There was a double exclusion as well two penalties awarded, one-a-piece which were converted.

The Knock-Out Final between San Giljan and Neptunes will bring to the end the Summer Waterpolo season and is scheduled for the 11th September 2018 at 20.00 hours at the National Pool Sports Complex.
