Saints’ strong start foils Exiles

Exiles played their third match of this year’s Winter League when on Saturday evening the faced San Giljan

The Saints wrapped the match after the end of the second session when they built an unassailable lead of eight goals to end 9-1 at the half-way stage. The last two sessions proved more balanced with Exiles inflicting a 5-1 score in the last quarter for the final result to look more respectable.

The match lacked major fouls; Exiles scored two of the five man-up situations and converted the two penalties awarded, San Giljan scored two of the three man-ups and had a penalty which they failed to score.

Coach Matthew Pisani made use of the following players: Steve GaleaPace, Julian Rizzo Naudi , Simon Vassallo (1 goal), David Pace Lupi (2 goals), Michael Paris, David Abela, Sean Gravina (1 goal), Kurt Griscti, Nicky Paris, Andrea Bianchi (4 goals),Philip Paris, Luca Peric and Kayne Lanzon.

Another tough match awaits our team in three weeks’ time on Saturday 28th March 2015 at 17.00 hours at the National Pool when Exiles meet Valletta United.
