San Giljan’s class too good for Exiles

San Giljan 15 Exiles 3

(2-2) (2-0) (5-0) (6-1)

Exiles’ second outing in this season’s Winter League started on a steady note when  they kept their stronger opponents at bay by limiting the deficit to a slender two goal difference by the half-way mark. In the third and fourth sessions the Saints showed their superior physical condition and scored eleven goals against one netted by our Boys. Unable to find the net in two and a half quarters and conceding three goals in the last two minutes of the game shows the contrasting strength of our opponents and limitations of the Exiles side.

As the partial scores clearly indicate, Exiles were outplayed in the second two quarters by the much favoured Giljanizi who ran comfortable winners. Exiles converted just one of the seven man-ups whilst San Giljan scored two of their four numerical advantage situations.

Dorian Pisani Exiles Head Coach, had on the team line-up the following players Ian Bugeja, Julian Rizzo Naudi, Simon Vassallo,David Pace Lupi, Daniel Borg Millo, Luca Felice, Sean Gravina (1 goal), Kurt Griscti, Nicky Paris, Andrea Bianchi, Gianni Ciappara, Luca Peric and Kayne Lanzon (2 goals).

Next match is scheduled for Friday 11th March against Neptunes at 19.30 hours.
