Tomorrow evening, Exiles clash with Valletta United in what many consider as the first test for Coaches Dorian Pisani (photo) and Stephen Rizzo who is leading the Whites during this season’s campaign. Both contenders have started with defeats against more fancied teams Neptunes (8-16) and Sliema (4-10) in the set of matches played last week-end in the first round.
Exiles do not start as favourites but can match the potential of Valletta United who on paper have a better side. The Citizens have paraded their latest signing Russian International Dimitri Kholod who had a quiet debut having landed in Malta a few days prior to his team’s first match. He is impressive with his swimming and accurate shooting.
Our boys are expected to keep a close look at Valleta’s dangerman in a crucial encounter which could give a boost to Exiles’ intentions.
The swim-up is at 19.30 hours and the venue is the National Pool, Tal-Qroqq.
